Prince got me thinking about Mortality
The untimely demise of Prince got me thinking about mortality. Years of scientific breakthroughs has not put a dent on death. I remember one of my professors back in med school saying the body was designed to live forever but then it gets to a stage and starts to deteriorate rapidly until it dies. I have never seen God but I benefit from a close relationship everyday and if you are lucky you get to live 120 years but then what? The Bible says categorically that there is another chapter after here. My sincere hope is that Prince is with the King of all kings. Good morning!

SETTING AFRICA FREE
I have spent some considerable time thinking, observing and writing about the plight of the African (all people of brown skin in the world). I have been very concerned about their perception and mostly about their place in the world. Here are my suggestions:the time to build the continent is now, we have been known not to invest in our motherland as we should as a people,we need to start to patronise our own in every meaning of the word, we have the lowest level of retaining money in our communities, we need to start to build our image worldwide, we are currently perceived and maligned as a loud race without much substance, we need to raise our next generation carefully, not feeding them the crap from others (cartoons, children programmes, history), we need to quietly build our fortunes across generations (businesses, real estate etc....) as money is needed to stay independent,we need to own more news networks, banks, investment houses as these are crucial to staying relevant, we need to wear or own designs and make them trendy as many of what we wear still reflects our shackles (I'm guilty with my Brionis...), we need to totally revamp our education in order to serve our people and not keep up with others (scientists fighting malaria, historians exploring Africa, business concentrating on what we have), we need to start to celebrate ourselves more wherever we are and stop the 'yardie slave' mentality associated with people of our race (succeeding and snubbing others of their kind), we need to change our food menu to reflect where we come from as opposed to adapting to tastes that ensnare us (this is directly related to agriculture), we need to have some protectionism over the trades across Africa in order to salvage the continent (we have enough capacity to trade with ourselves). I apologise for cramping so much into a small space, I will be using various platforms to expatiate on these suggestions but wanted to start on this platform.
Thanks.
