Mugabe and Africans struggle with democracy

Africa has struggled with democracy and whether we have made progress or not depends on who you talk to. The continent is littered with dictators who have evolved into notorious despots snd even in parts where it seems democracy may have taken root we continue to have loud noises about the candidates that won. North Africa which has not always been seen as Africa by many  was laid bare with the Arab spring. The murder of Gaddaffi has left Libya in ruins.  Even in countries like Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and Zimbabwe where democracy has been going on for a little while, the credibility of the election process is in question and questionable candidates continue to find their way to lofty offices in their country. Nigeria carries the medal in this regard.
Democracy in its theoretical form is beautiful and has been tinkered and improved upon in the West to an admirable level. The challenge is the fact that it works for those who are fairly united behind the progress of their country and who are prepared to lay down individual interests for  better and superior collective interests. This is not always the case in many countries and certainly not in Africa historically. We have to remind ourselves that there are other forms of  governance apart from democracy; Monarchy, Socialism,  Communism. This write up will not go into the merits and demerits of these forms but suffice enough to state democracy is not the only form of governance albeit the most successful especially with the Caucasians. The innate ability of the Caucasian to unite in the face of outside opposition is legendary and their collective desire to improve their countries is unmatched. Many have done what was required including destabilising others in order to protect what they have. This is how democracy has thrived not just because of will of the majority but the willingness to disrupt any threat, real or perceived.
This year,China will become the richest and the most influential in the world and yet not a democracy. In the midst of all criticisms, they make it work for them.
When I was in primary school, we were made to memorise the names of African Presidents, now in my 50s and some are still there and others died on the throne. The fact they stayed long would not have bothered me if they left a legacy of  development and better well being for their people..
Africa was conquered and still being dominated by others largely because of disunity. This disunity has threatened almost everything including governance: so when an official is indicted for corruption, he Marshalls his tribe and turns it into a tribal war. This has impeded progress on the continent.
I have always questioned the fact that democracy will work in Africa largely due to our constitution as a people, we all often have an opinion about everything and often too hot headed to defer to others for the collective good. We often major on our differences and still operate as tribes. Democracy may work ultimately but it will take generations in many countries on the continent.
Mugabe is no news to me because there are a few others still leading for decades and keeping quiet so as to remain invisible.
In my lifetime, I have experienced two regimes that had something that would have rapidly developed my country Nigeria but unfortunately, they were both short lived and were not voted for.
My recipe for most of  Africa, either a progressive monarchy or a benevolent dictatorship. There is something about democracy not quite working for my people. Blessings.

If Americans don’t act soon, then good luck.

I have no doubt in my consciousness that Trump is the worst American President in living memory and I know he has got there by cleverly diving his opposition using religion and nationalism and a few others by his wealth.
I have posted my opinions primarily because America has a stranglehold on what goes on in the world as evident in their little actions in disrupting the Middle East in just one visit by the American President.
I also know that God is judging America as he revealed to me before the results were announced. So why am I writing this? I write this to the remnant who continue to pray for change in that land.
America has one of the highest numbers of abortion in the world and yet have a high moral ground opinion about homosexuality? One of frequently unmentioned capital sins of Obama was having the effrontery to give the gays some rights. This was the principal point Trump used to court the church. So other things don’t matter? He dislikes gays like they do and so must be one of them?
I say this to the remnant praying for an end to this scourge that they will need to repent on behalf of their nation for the many atrocities committed over time. They are to pray and ask for Mercy from God to shorten this embarrassment.
I continue to state that impeachment may not work as he has his core 37% behind him but until the 63% marshall themselves to vote in the coming mid term elections, this may continue a little while longer. I pray that God will do a quick work and shorten this for the sake of the chosen, if not I shudder for the things to come. Blessings.

How religion perpetuates bigotry

One of my biggest fights has been against bigotry. I realised this when I was growing up in Nigeria as a Yoruba boy with an Hausa grandmother. I saw Nigerians tear each other apart simply based on where they were born. I believe this is still one of the reasons Africa lags behind till now.
When I came to reside in the UK, I experienced a different kind with racism. I blatantly experienced disgusting looks to being passed over for jobs I could do with my eyes shut and had to work under many unqualified individuals for years who I know the only reason they had the job was the colour of their skin. I have witnessed and continue to observe the devastation effect of bigotry worldwide and was appalled to see the treatment of the First African American president. I live in England and hence come across racism almost daily. I have learnt to live with it and rise above the pettiness but I  have decided to fight against it with every platform I have been given.
During the course of my research, I came across a very disturbing fact; Religion which is at the heart of human civilisation has been the main instrument that has perpetuated this evil of bigotry.

Christianity: A religion that widely preaches love and tolerance has at the heart of its story the fact that God favoured some over others. This truly happened in the Old Testament and the main story being races sacked so the Jews could occupy the promised land. I do not fully understand why but something clear is that God protects his chosen and goes the extra mile for them. The Jews were chosen because they were the first to respond to the true God.. Jesus.came to level the playing field but many Christians have not stopped worshipping at Jewish shrine till this day. An average Jew will get away with murder literally as many in the fold still regard them with awe. This would not have been a problem but it introduces double standards which has gone to support many forms of bigotry for generations.

Islam: A religion that mostly preaches peace  mirrors many of what Christianity does. The bottom line is that the Saudis get away with so much and  are revered because of their geographic connection to the revered Prophet.

Hinduism. I’m not an expert but this gives rise to castes which divides men up depending on where they are born.

God is love and everything he does is motivated by that. When humans lived in darkness there was the desperate need to establish light and to ensure that lineage of Jesus was not disrupted. Many have interpreted this to mean God is partial and have been using it to lift one over another. Unfortunately this means that bigotry will be with us till the end of time because  many will continue to find religious justification for their actions. When I put this against what just happened in America; where a man many will not desire as an uncle was voted as president largely based on the religious card. Then I fully understood. Come lord Jesus come!

Living by Faith

Many Christians are aware that we are meant to live by faith. In my experience many don't really know what that means. It has been used to explain away unanswered prayers; "you did not have enough faith".
The charge to live by faith is repeated enough times in the Bible that we can't ignore it. We owe it to ourselves to find out what it means and to educate ourselves about it.
Jesus came to preach about the kingdom and even declared that some in his time would not die until the kingdom is revealed. Many people did not understand what he meant and yet that is the key to living by faith.
Faith is the substance in what we hope for and evidence of what cannot be seen. So when you activate faith it is far beyond wishful thinking and it goes into the realm of reality. The second verse of Hebrew 11 gives us the hint by stating that things seen are made from what cannot be seen and the rest of That chapter goes on to state all the giants in the Bible and what they used their faith for.
Jesus came with the kingdom which was giving us the opportunity to become citizens of a kingdom where God is king and we are his adopted children with same access as Jesus. The feat accomplished on the cross promoted anyone who submits to Jesus the opportunity to become royalty.
Royalty is taken care of by the kingdom and they have no lack or want, just like ambassadors they don't have a salary. Their needs are taken care of as they represent their countries.  This is true for anyone who has received Jesus as their lord and saviour.
We are living in days where all we know is changing and man's effort will not be enough. We need to train our faith muscles so we can receive Supernaturally where the physical fails. Trouble is coming simply because this system is not sustainable and will fail. This has been proven spiritually and academically.
So if you are reading this I congratulate you; you need to settle the fact that God loves you unconditionally, that he has provided for you, that things you need are in the invisible and can be brought into the physical by faith. You need to lift up your head into your source and  tap from that continually. You need to submit all you do into God's hand and watch it prosper.
God's system is different from the worlds system. Find out God's system and follow it conscientiously and eat the fruits. The good news in all of these is that God is in control and has taken care of all angles. My advise to you is to press into his commands and to obey his commands so as to receive the fruits. God's promises are sure and authentic, I'm just pleading with you to do your part so that the cycle can be completed. Peace!

There will be no peace in our world

The desire of many is to see peace in the world and from religious to proudly atheist, people have one pragmatic phrase or the other to reinstate the claims. The reality unfortunately is far from our desires as we continue to have elements actively working against our desires and prayers.
America and the west continue to meddle in the affairs of the world , engaged in regime changes (Iraq, Libya, Syria....), other efforts are covert as they support disrupting elements in places like Africa and of course the Middle East . The recent contract of $110 billion a public payment for continued support of US looking the other way as the country initiates and sponsor terrorists around the world.
Israel has a right to exist and to protect herself from invading  attackers but does not have a right to deny that same freedom to others under the guise of doing that. Israels treatment of the Palestinians in the occupying territories will continue to be a rallying point for terrorism.
Iran sponsors a very dangerous form of Islam which is waiting to exhibit itself fully to the world. Iran is not primarily dangerous but given the right circumstances helped by adversarial presidents like Trump could be and it's just a few years away from possessing a nuclear bomb 😳
China is protecting North Korea as a wild card to be used when the times are right against Japan and South Korea. The  South China Sea is trouble waiting to happen.
Russians are still very ambitious and with their recent incursion into the White House and disturbing movements in the Balkans and attempts to disrupt democracy in Europe means things can happen at anytime.
The real reason for troubles in our world can be surmarised into the fact that in order for one part to rule the other, they will have to disrupt their progress  and the arrested development like in Africa and the Middle East continues to have revibrations across the globe; The West interfered in Syria, giving rise to ISIS and huge migrations and now those migrants are on the sesashores of Europe, Karma? Now we have  about 1 million Muslims allowed into Germany and parts of Europe and it's only a few more years before trouble will start all over again.
Recent terrorism in Europe carried out by people born in Europe is also a product of what I have listed above. We now have enemies within , scary!
When God asked us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, he difinitely knew we were in for a turbulent time in the world . Jerusalem has been the most contested piece of real estate in worlds history.
Once Godly rules were cast aside, humans started feeding their greed and in order for this greed to be sustained, one part must dominate the other. No amount of prayers will change this.
I have decided to action what the Bible says that my peace is depended on if my mind is stayed on Jesus. So I have perfect peace in a world full of turmoils. This is my secret but what you do is entirely up to you!

People get what they 'deserve'- Trumps 100 days

It's Trumps 100 days and it's always good to look over things. The world watched as a brash man lied to a nation; that's not the first time but what was shocking is that they actually believed.
My shock came as I watched those who call themselves Christians fall over this man to endorse him because his predecessor was perceived to be friendly to the gays and hostile to Israel. It was the first time I was ashamed to be associated with these hateful set of people who are clearly as narrow minded as people I have tried to convert often pointed out.
I watched helplessly as the Bible Belt overwhelmingly voted for a liar and a bigot because he said he was a Christian. Maybe I have never been a Christian?
I'm trained in one of the best Universities in the world to detect liars and I saw this man lie to a nation that swallowed it hook line and sinker. I poured over the Bible and could not see anything that changed my mind about this man. Then I had a revelation about him which I alluded to in my blog in October before he was sworn in, this man is a judgement to the nation. So let's review the 100 days:

I told you he will look for a country to bomb, that was Syria.
He has not built a wall and has reneged on almost all his promises so far.
He has built up defences massively and seeks to take money from everywhere else.
He has chosen a team of his narrow minded rich folks to help further his agenda to reverse the status quo.
He has managed to sign big harmful contracts for his oil boys and seeks to reduce taxes for big corporations
He is currently picking a fight with North Korea that has never cared.
He is currently running to his base to celebrate his first 100 days and after careful study of this guy I can honestly say everyone ultimately get what they deserve.A large part of America wanted this president and congratulations, they got him. We now have 3 years and 264 days probably of not being able to avoid this Clown. Sigh!

Men of God 006

(FINAL INSTALMENT )

We have established that both sides have not done well in the church; clergy and laity. Many may be wondering how did the Orthodox churches do it? The history of the church is unfortunately littered with extortion; the Catholic Church selling forgiveness to the rich and taking over properties of wealthy who had confessed a shameful act to the priest, the others have expanded using ownership of vast estates in choice places. Many of these are now being sold off to finance their global empire. The Pentecostals on the other hand are still relatively new and still acquiring. I'm just explaining not taking sides.

Many are of the opinion that church is no longer needed. This is so far from the truth. The church is a representation of a collective that stands for God on earth and they must have a place where they meet to learn new things, to be reminded of relevant things, to help others and to sponsor Godly agendas.

Many of the mega churches became too big that they stopped being effective. It just became a stage for different shows. Many became  structurally defective polluting the veins of their organisations. Many pastors became inaccessible effectively losing their right to be called shepherds. It just became a money making machine. Churches are meant to be personal , ministering to the needs of the members and the community they are located at.Many have failed in these regards.

When you become isolated, the enemy slowly takes you apart until you don't see yourself anymore and you believe everything is ok. Like minded people are meant to flock together to stand a chance against the looming darkness. Pockets of believers isolated will not be able to get much done. That is just the simple truth.

The future of the genuine church is secure. It may not be as large or as visible but will continue to minister God's will to individuals who need them. The best any child of God can do is to realise there is no perfect church and to find the one closest to their perception of Godly ideals and contribute actively so we can be about our original command to win souls and to set captives free as we await the return of our master. I'm doing all I know, are you?

Men of God 005

I want to get to the heart of the matter, money. The challenge started when we deviated from God's expectation. God appointed the priests, gave them a staff of office and commanded the rest to donate to the things of God and for a portion of that to take care of individuals who serve. Many Christians in Nigeria in the early days till the 90s were not particularly generous to the things of God. They were expected to serve day and night often without much thought for their personal comforts. Some priests took matters into their own hands; some patterned themselves after the American form of faith movement, going on TV and holding large miracle crusades, others broke away to form their own churches getting hold of the purse strings, others went into business funding the beginnings with church monies and later cutting the apron strings and others yet still became total rogues pilfering church money directly.

Church is God ordained and there are many pastors who are genuinely called but the decadence in the Nigerian society has made its way into many churches affecting their altars. Many freely stole in the Nigerian society and paid their churches to assuage their consciences and this marred a lot of men of God. One of the individuals who led me to Christ stole several millions and paid Tithe to his church, that was not news in Nigeria my personal shock was when the leader of that ministry refused to pay it back after it was established as stolen funds😳.

God's ministry finance is clear in the Bible, many will devote their lives to the things of God serving others and the others in return will give to the things of God with a portion taking care of these individuals but both sides have failed woefully.

I was a very rich man before I got into ministry and I nearly went broke serving people who conveniently forgot I had a family and some bills to pay too.

I want to state emphatically that not all men of God are called to combine work with their callings and not all can do it. I have done it for many years and paid a heavy price for it but I stick to it for now.

My recommendations are these: every church should have a carefully selected board not bunch of sycophants that oversees her affairs, the man of God should be suitably remunerated and his needs taken care of so he can discharge his duties without distractions, people of God should give according to God's command so that his house will not be broke, the monies collected should be used judiciously taking care of welfare of members in trouble and others that need it. Government should mandate churches to undertake welfare projects commensurate to their earnings or tax them if they don't, the people of the church must have unfettered access to the finances of the church but the church must be protected from individuals who may want to exploit this to hinder the church, people should feel free to leave any church they are not happy with and feel free to join any congregation they are happy with:

In the midst of all these Melee, there are many unrecognised men of God who have not bowed down to Baal. If you are not happy with the status quo, do something productive, find those who are doing a good job and help them, become an asset to the collective. Many of these stone throwing are not helpful because many of the followers of these controversial men of God are like Trump supporters, they are not interested in any complaints against their man of God.

Men of God 004

Late 70s and early 80s in Nigeria gave birth to the rise of iconic individuals leading Pentecostal churches and the churches they led took over the spiritual landscape from the Orthodox churches. Many of the Orthodox churches experienced a decline in their membership and many only stayed open because of their connection to the western part of their organisation. A few Cathedrals survived this decimation but many of their branches had very few members. It was the beginning of the reign of the Pentecostals. A group of churches that emphasised the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the attendant supernatural works that comes with that. This ushered in the era of Grace, faith and miracles. If you have never benefited from these miracles it's easy to sneer at it but one exposure to it and you are in awe. Many church members erroneously transferred this awe to the man of God instead of God. That was the beginning of  false altars.

In line with the book of Revelation, the laodicean church became stupendously rich. Giving to the things of God is Biblical but many of these churches misappropriated the monies, that was the beginning  of moral poverty. I testify that many of these men of God in Nigeria, a few that I served up close and personal were lavished with gifts without their soliciting. Imagine if you were a millionaire and someone helps you to be rid of a shameful thing you have abhorred in secret, what remuneration will you be willing to give to that individual? This was how some of them became personally rich. I testify. The former Chairman of Unilever is the Executive personal assistant to a popular man of God, go figure! I have witnessed previous presidents kneel before individuals I served.

The new found success of these churches attracted charlatans, who saw an opportunity to get rich quickly, this was beginning of false prophets. These evil individuals penetrated the ranks of the churches and preyed on ignorant church members.

The spiritual landscape in Nigeria and much of Africa now became littered with churches spending God's money wrongly, individuals building personal altars, proud individuals starting their own organisations prematurely, charlatans coming to the church as a source of their new frauds. It became a mess.

I want to end this session by saying there were still lots of genuine men of God who were still poverty stricken as they were not savvy in playing these games and unfortunate to have extremely miserly members who only gave to miracle workers. This was when God called me. I pleaded with him to find someone else because I did not know where I would fit in all that mess.

Men of God 003

Revivals broke out across the world in late 19th and early 20th Century. The prominent ones being Azusa (US), Welsh and Scottish revivals. The effects touched Africa and by late 1930s, Nigeria started to respond. We had CAC (Christ Apostolic Church) majoring on repentance and prayers and they quickly grew and littered the spiritual landscape. Another branch that wanted miracles in addition to the repentance and prayers became the white garment churches. These churches grew because they offered solutions to problems in ways in which many could relate to. Even the CAC were renowned for praying over water.

The 70s gave birth to the Holiness movement embodies by CU( Christian Union). They spread through the university campuses. One church that broke away from the CU movement was Deeper life. Deeper Life was first mega Church in Nigeria and operating in about 50 other countries through missions and in depth teaching of the word of God. They were known for some extreme views but this did not dim their membership. They grew and many churches were planted and pastors appointed. Many of these pastors were known to be poorly remunerated but appeared content with their lot. I remember visiting a remote village where one of their pastors was almost dying of hunger. A picture in my mind I will never forget. Around about the same time RCCG (Redeemed Christian Church of God) under the leadership of a unique leader started to grow as well , establishing branches everywhere. The increase in church locations led to logistical problems as many churches were not ready for the growth spurts. They became richer far quicker than they planned for and much of it was retained in the centre and very often distant posts suffered.

After many years of preaching repentance, the next question arose, now that I'm saved what else? This question gave rise to a new crop of leaders starting from America and working its way to Africa. The first individual to carry this torch was Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa. He was anointed, he was eloquent and he was flamboyant. Something we had not really seen much of before. His claims were straight forward , if God owns everything and I'm his child, why should I languish in lack? A hornets nest was disturbed.

Men of God 002

Growing up in the 70s in Nigeria , many of the priests doing fairly well were Orthodox Churches. They were often decked in colourful attires and lived in Vicarages. Many of the others struggled to feed themselves and send their children to good schools. It was not a time many wanted to be pastors. They were often seen as people to be pitied and given handouts. Many priests often visited members for the regular meals to entertain them and possible monies they might be given. Church members were not particularly generous to their men of God despite relying on Them for so many things. I recollect many broke men of God and their often rebelling children who didn't want to have anything to do with the church  and their God. Maybe because they bore the brunt more than most.

The general contention was how was a man of God live? How much were they entitled to ? And who will determine that? Many pastors were under a board which were overbearing and often miserly when it came to remuneration of priests.

The general pattern was for the called individual to abandon all secular matters to oversee the affairs of the house of God and like Levites in the Bible, God was their portion. The problem was, nobody quite understood what that really meant. That translated to some churches lavishing their priests with lots and some paying them below the minimum wage. In the 70s in Nigeria, many didn't want to be pastors. What I'm trying to say is that it's been a pendulum and there was a time it was in a bad state. Many of these men of God struggled and many suffered in silence. Serving God was associated with living in penury. This was the accepted lot of men of God.

Men of God 001

In order not to be politically correct, I want to clarify that men above refers to Men and Women serving in diverse ministries in the Christian World. I will also not be talking about myself in particular to keep it modest.

My first recollection of a pastor was my grandad Pastor Adeshina. He was already half blind by the time I became conscious of him. He told me many tales of how he was recruited as a chef to a white missionary called Babcock (yes University named after him) and how they travelled the little villages across southern Nigeria. He also told me how the church could not afford paint in one of his locations and had to mix pigments in order to make cheap paints and how an accidental mixing got him half blind. He was later ordained by this man as a pastor and he served with the Seventh Day Adventists Church till retirement. He was faithful and did the best by his family but when I knew  him, he was not rich, in fact his pension could not sustain him in his old age. My grandfather imbibed many things from the British Missionaries he served and would often spend his meagre pension on things like Biscuits and jam. I remember his usual deck of clothes completed with a Kangol type cap he often wore to collect his paltry pension. That was my earliest introduction to men of God.

Let's Talk About Sex 001

I was introduced to sex very early on. I was not a Saint by any stretch of the imagination. I ran wild and had a few relationships in my time. Then I fell in love.
It was very confusing for me. I had experienced primal emotions under many dodgy circumstances and here I was with this woman and I became very nervous. This was what got me very intrigued and I started to study this subject matter.
God made us in his image and intercourse is very much a part of the bargain but this has been misused and abused like many other beautiful gifts from God. This was meant to spiritually Bind two individuals together, the ultimate covenant between two individuals.
The very act involves two individuals stripping themselves bare which symbolises vulnerability, it involves secrecy between the individuals and the act itself involves the Male Phalus going into the Females Vagina cavity which proofs bonding of two individuals and finally, at the climax the male releases his fluid, the sperm and this mixes with the females seminal fluid. This represents a blood covenant which spiritually binds them. Both fluids have been medically proven to contain blood in them.
Now shut your eyes and imagine how many covenants people have inadvertently entered to?
God intended this to be the ultimate bond between a man and a woman. The act is pleasurable and the climax is divine. This was God's way of truly uniting two lives into one. The only time their spirits are vulnerable to each other and their souls rejoices and the bodies rejuvenates. Sex is not  a choice in marriage, it is essential. The Bible says both parties must agree before going on periods of abstenance to underpin its importance.
Sex is not meant to be used as a weapon of manipulation as often wielded by married parties to their peril.
As relationships progress, one of the things that tragically disappears is intimacy often lost in throes of raising children and earning a living. This and money issues are top of the list of marriage wreckers.
Sex outside marriage is a sin and often lead to many soul ties but in Marriage it's divine. Just because we are Christians does not mean we can't talk about Sex.

Explaining Brexit thru South African Xenophobia

The issue of Brexit was particularly acrimonious and many did not see it coming. I laugh when people wave their sanctimonious flag at the decision of a people to protect their borders. I submit to you that this is the same for every nation, some are just more covered than others.
Let me start from the one that incense me, Africans still need visas to go to many of each other's countries and yet people expect differently elsewhere?
Please don't get me wrong, I'm not particularly a nationalist but I understand the desire of an entity to protect their nations integrity.
My first visit to South Africa was 2001. I was shocked at the activities of some Nigerians there. They were openly dealing drugs and running prostitution rings and all sorts of other shady dealings. I was vexed in my soul, little did I know the people would rise up in the future. I don't support the violence and killings but I understand it. In 2001 I was ashamed to be a Nigerian in South Africa. I have been there several times since and it's been getting progressively worse. The culprits? Nigerians and Zimbabweans.
A few years earlier, Nigeria had just jettisoned the Ghanaians claiming they were taking their jobs and stuff. Ghanaians were hard working , no crime committing group of people but yet Nigerians were intimated.
I have been resident in the U.K. For over twenty years and have worked non stop and never claimed any government benefits. So you can imagine my opinion when people majorly from Eastern Europe besieged the country and many were claiming money from the pot we have all contributed to? News headlines telling us our pensions may not be a reality and that the social services were in serious decline because of over use?
Many of the villages outside of the cosmopolitan cities were outnumbered by new people who could easily determine the politics and hence the power.I wonder what you will do in that situation?
I'm all for everyone getting along and intermingling but I'm persuaded that every country owes it to their nationals to look after their interests first before the larger community. I have never liked Donald Trump snd still don't trust him but on this issue I'm in agreement with him.

What do we do now?

The underlying reason for prophecy is to give guidance. The challenge is when the prophecy is inaccurate which then renders the people following frustrated because they are looking for water in a rock.
God's ways are not ours this further complicates what God is up to from the view point of the humans. So the golden question is in the midst of all these shocking trends across the world, what are we meant to do?
If there was ever a time to be close to God the Holy Spirit, that would be now!
You need to be instructed individually so you don't become a casualty of ptophecy just like those who didn't believe famine was over and got trampled upon in the fulfilment of it.
No matter where you live or who is the president , you need to detach yourself and your loved ones from gang mentality and go into self preservation mode. This Soares you when God is judging a nation and can still be blessed with what he is doing.
These are not days to win an argument only to lose your destiny. Keep Avery close ear to what God is telling you and obey accordingly. That is the only way to prosper in times like these. Blessings!

Wanted! A country for America to bomb.

Immediately after the Second World War, many of the ally countries that participated were almost broke, that was when America sort of fell into the role of world police. Many were grateful for their participation and their effort in ending a repressive German scourge but very few actually remember that since that period , America has been waging war in the rest of the globe covertly. The world was shocked when an Ex CIA operative who had a guilty conscience confessed to the whole world about how leaders have been assassinated and regimes overthrown primarily to serve American interests.
The break up of the USSR cleared the way for the country to become dominant. Asserting themselves across the globe. America and Russia are essentially different sides of the same coin looking to spread their ideologies across the world and trampling on whoever stood in their way. The blood of Patrice Lumumba, the first democratic leader of Congo DR still shouts: America installed stooges across nations and removed them once they were done and painted the destinies of many countries.
Fast forward 9/11, America found a perfect excuse to distort the Middle East, one of their past times. Bombing and killing hundreds of thousands , mostly innocent people for weapon of mass destruction that did not exist. Bombing Countries where many of their citizens were not involved in the attack . All these while ignoring Iran and Kowtowimg to Saudi Arabia, a country teeming with culprits.
Three unnecessarily wars and blatant decimation since 9/11, America has now voted in a flippant bigot who in the attempt to drain the swamp has filled it with worse vermins. His rhetoric are not completely stupid as people think. He backs Israel, using them to annoy the Arabs, he then comes up with immigration laws to further irate them. Hoping some stupid elements in these countries will do something silly which will lead America to bomb them and hopefully sending her economy to the much desired overdrive. I wonder what country America will bomb next?

I was right about Turkey

A little while ago I wrote about my opinion of Erdogan the president of Turkey, many of my close friends were not very happy but today I have been proven right as a constitutional adjustment has been passed that will allow him more powers and give him the right to stay till 2029.
So many things has happened to the world across centuries but what's baffling is we appear to have learnt so little. A man survives a coup without a specific face of the coup leader and an attempt that was comical at best and it just happens that this man goes on an offensive to arrest thousands and shut down opposition media and purged the military, police, judiciary and civil servants? Doh!
My first visit to Turkey was 2005 and I saw a beautiful land where different religion coexisted. I even went to a street in Istanbul where a church , mosque and Synagogue stood next to each other for years. I nearly bought a holiday home there. Sailing on the Bosphorus straddling between Europe and the Middle East.
My return visit last year was different as I was welcome by a barrage of warnings as a terrorists bomb just killed some German tourists. Everywhere were Hijab wearing women which were not a sight in 2005. This country has become so much more Islamised and not good news for all. I felt a looming presence of Erdogan everywhere I went an indication of a potential dictator. This beautiful country has been soiled and I couldn't quite work out how.
My submission is that Erdogan is a tyrant in waiting and events are proving me right. Watch out for this one, he will play a major role in the chaos coming.

The 45th President of America

I have written a lot about Trump and will not go over what has already been said. The fact that he will be sworn in this week makes it imperative to remind all where I stand on this matter.
Trump ran an unconventional campaign and won the presidency. It's very important to remind ourselves how. He told the bigots lets make America great again a veiled message to those uncomfortable with a black president, he made disparaging remarks about women sending a veiled message to the chauvinists, he made an insulting comment about a handicapped reporter sending a veiled message to his redneck supporters, he went to evangelicals and said he believed in God and was against Homosexuals and in staunch support of Israel, this rallied this religious base, he said he would ban all Moslems from coming  in and would build a wall  barring Mexico sending a veiled message to the  Nationalists. Trump promised to bring jobs to America without actually explaining how sending a veiled message to the many unemployed.
Trump ran a brilliant campaign and got the response he wanted causing a big upset in the results. We are all aware of this.
Now, he will take up office this week and I will be watching how he will deliver on all these promises. My stand? I stand by what God told me that his victory will begin the judgement of America. I don't quite know how this will affect the populace but I know God allowed his victory and like Nebuchadnezzar, it's not good  news for God's people. I take my solace in the fact that God is still in control and still reeling from how a brilliant deviant deceived a nation. Stuff for Hollywood movie. Thank God I'm British.

Thank you Barrack and Michelle

Very soon Barrack Obama will end his 8 year tenure as president of America. I wanted to take some time to say thank you to him and his wife for representing Africans in the best way possible within reason.
I remember where I was when he declared his intention to run, I was rounding up my postgraduate in Oxford surrounded by brilliant minds who hastily concluded he could never win. I have to add I agreed with them at the time because I thought the powers that be would never allow it but to all of our dismay and my pleasant surprise, he won not only once but twice.
This is not to rehearse what happened but to put it in ink my appreciation and admiration of what this couple have achieved for my kind. Highly educated cutting against the widely held perception of poorly educated African Americans, classy cutting against the view of African Americans being Gettho, pursuing peace with restraints cutting  against the view of violence in my race, trying to bring decency to the health of the  poor, something no previous president has been able to do, looking after all constituencies including the LGBT community, something that has touched a Raw nerve among my people, bringing class and accessibility to the office of the First Lady.
I want to say thank you to these two for giving my children an example of what is possible if we try irrespective of oppositions. Giving an example of how true Christianity is inclusive even when we don't support the acts. Reminding me of those Jesus chose to hang out with. (Thieves to Prostitutes).
Very soon, they will be gone from the White House but I will always remember a couple that gave me a glimmer of hope for a truly hopeless humanity and proved that all things are possible if God is involved.
Very soon a new president will be sworn in and America will go back to another tenure but I choose to use this time to thank this couple who will live in my heart forever. As for the country, I remember a Bob Marley song, many more will have to suffer, many more will have to die , don't ask me why.........
