My conclusions about Israel

It has taken me some time but finally I now know where I stand regarding Israel. It is very important to clarify earlier stance: I was born into a Seventh Day Adventists Family which have a very close tie to Israel as they worship on Saturday, I grew up revering Israel and the Jews as they were Chosen by God and hence occupied a special place in our pecking order. They were blessed by God and often very rich and this further deepened my respect for them as a people. The Bible talks about Jesus coming back to the place and this got it to a sacred status.
My previous stance on the Arabs: they are the descendants of Ishmael who according to the Bible was an illegitimate child of a maid who was also blessed by God but whose child was rejected by God . The Bible also states that they will be a troublesome people and will not pursue the path of peace. This is why Christians chuckle when Muslims call their religion, the religion of peace.
My journey on revising my stand about Israel started earlier this year, when I saw a picture of an Israeli soldier shooting at a fleeing teenager at the back. This disturbed me for a long time. Then, I saw the video that went viral of a black Jew army officer being beaten up by two Caucasian Jew soldiers when he apparently was not doing anything wrong. It was so bad that the Prime minister had to go apologise publicly to manage a bad PR. This touched on a raw nerve for me. So this people I have supported all of my life, were actually racist to my kind? This played on my mind and encouraged me to investigate further.
I read books and studied articles over the year and a very disturbing picture emerged. I studied the Bible in order to clarify what God actually says about this people and how I was to relate to them.
In 2016, I finally concluded that the only binding command in the Bible is for me to to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and I believe God knew how troubled it would be. It also makes clear that the temple would be rebuilt which makes it clear God still has a plan for the place. Beyond this, I discovered that an average Jew is a proud, annoying individual. I also discovered that many of them are miserly and self serving. They have become very rich largely due to survival strategies over the years as they were greatly persecuted. I also discovered to my surprise that a few are actually racist and many don't really care about anyone who is not a Jew. They are very sly and control the decisions in the West by stealth. In the process of protecting their country, they continue to distabilise the peace of so many others.
In conclusion, I agree God chose them and blessed them but I'm also aware God opened it up and gave us Jesus who made it available to all. Israel is a country that reminds us of the Christian God and hence very important in that regard but not all Jews are religious and very many have not accepted Jesus. Israel has a right to exist with Jerusalem as the capital but wrong in not allowing the palestines to build theirs irrespective of their ludicrous demands. Israel controls the decisions of many Christians in the world, particularly in Africa but many Jews don't think much of Africans and have done very little for them, even the Falashas who were airlifted into Israel are treated poorly and badly in the country. The world continues to celebrate the Holocust as they should, but who remembers the millions of other people killed unjustly? Including the ones the West will kill by the end of this day?
I do not support the Arab countries as many ultimately are about proselytising the Islamic religion. I also see the duplitious nature of Saudi Arabia and Iran in sponsoring terror across the Globe but in this year, I finally revised my stand on Israel, I no longer support a blank cheque on their actions. All the promises are for those who will accept Jesus not all Jews. I also stop supporting all the men of God who continue to hand them blank cheques.
One rule should apply to all the countries of the world and that is equity and justice and I cannot continue to support The exemption of Israel from this. Thanks!

The dilemma of a black man

I'm an African, my skin is of a darker hue than most and I'm 6ft 3in tall and have always been lanky. This to many makes me a big black man. I have been at the centre of a few racial issues in my time which made me more intrigued by the topic and since we have seen race play a major role in many political spheres around the world this year, it's only pertinent for me to give my slant.
I grew up in a University campus in Nigeria where there were a few Caucasians lived and so was used to mingling with anyone irrespective of race very early on.
My first exposure to discrimination was when I was teased and taunted at primary school for being dark skinned ( by other Nigerians) and was nicknamed Baba Dudu which in my language translates dark father. Very early on, I realised there was something about the hue of my skin that bothered others. I was bewildered since I could not do anything to change it. Those were confusing times. This taunting carried on to my boarding school where many in supposed good jest continued to allude to my dark skin as if it was a sin. My sharp tongue gave as much as I got and fenced off some of the intensity but I always wondered why it mattered to others. My going out with one of the most beautiful girls in school helped to restore much needed confidence and helped to balance me as an individual.
A little later I noticed as many rushed after light skinned women, even when they were not that beautiful. I could not understand this penchant for lighter skins. Then the bleaching creams flooded the African market in the 70s and many went for it. I saw so many dark skinned ladies transform into very lighter versions in an instant and in full glare.
I grew up a very confident individual and navigated my way through life as I discovered the many talents God had bestowed upon me and explored them to build my fortunes. My first job in Nigeria was working at IITA an American research institute in Nigeria where many of the indigenous people no matter how educated were subservient to the Caucasians who worked there , many of them with qualifications equivalent to technical colleges. In IITA i witnessed how Africans clearly played the second fiddle in their own country and couldn't understand why.
Fast forward to my late twentys I relocated to the UK and the issue of racism confronted me almost daily. People looked at you differently and many were clearly frightened at sight, a few clutched at their handbags at seeing you and many just broke into a run for no rhyme or reason. It made me very angry at first but quickly found ways to cope with it. Several years later , I found myself working under people who are clearly not as qualified and who are constantly threatened and do everything to jettison you at the earliest opportunity. Later, I found there was tension between Africans and Carrebians. I became even more flustered as I experienced racism from Asians. That was when I started researching the issue of racism and discovered that dark skinned people are discriminated against in every continent of the world.
More recently, I observed 8 years of one of the most prominent citizens discriminated against principally because of the colour of his skin. That was when I realised it doesn't matter your education or achievement, racism has become innate in many and wonder what will help.
So you have many Africans trying to behave like Caucasians and looking down on dark skin, and pretty much every other person taking a shot. So what is a very big dark skinned guy to do? Maybe keep smiling, keep achieving, keep succeeding and waiting on the world to change someday.

Boris Johnson told the truth

Boris Johnson, the foreign secretary of U.K. Is being vilified  recently by the government and certain sections of the press for telling the truth. The mistake he made was that he forgot we are now in the post truth era and the truth does not count for much anymore.
He said what many of us have known for a long time , the double standards of the West in global politics. Decimated Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria for a supposed lofty reason but casually look away at the atrocities of Israel, Saudi Arabia and Iran.
In my own opinion, these are three countries who seem to pursue their agendas unfettered and unresisted. Until recently, I was one of those millions of people who had backed Israel blindly. This was due to the misinterpretation of the Bible by many Christians who feel that because they were chosen by God in the beginning and because a verse urges us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem translates to giving them a blank cheque and supporting all they do. I wonder what those Christians will say if they are aware of the vibrant homosexual community there and what they have been up to recently?
Saudi Arabia is another, supported by millions of Muslims worldwide because of its spiritual significance and the country being a destination for holy pilgrimage. Irrespective of this, they have been oppressive at home to segments of their society and aggressive abroad sponsoring some of those barbarians we have come to see on our screens recently. I wonder what pious Muslims will say about the Sheiks from that country indulging in mind boggling debauchery on Edgware Road?
Iran on the other hand is a different kettle of fish. Just totally ignored by the world police and allowed to sponsor a very poisonous brand of Islam worldwide and recently compensated for not pursuing a Nuclear agenda.
I believe in God and cannot take a swipe at spirituality but when religion starts to be a weapon and a tool in the hand of immoral people then I cannot support them. Israel was pivotal in installing a maniac in the White House, Saudi Arabia is responsible for exporting and financing terror in the region , Iran has not stopped sponsoring terror.
I agree that US and Europe are not absolved the blame but many in these countries want things to be done properly than don't. I have always been an admirer of Boris since I listened to him in Oxford years ago. He is one of the most brilliant minds in this country, don't be fooled by his drama. I can actually say that what Boris said was the truth, the mistake he made was saying the truth in a post truth era. I end this with a religious slant, if God is truth, then what happens in a post truth era? Mphhhh!

Thank you American Voters

I sat in my living room watching American president, Barrack Obama and like always was filled with pride. An African American who has been president for 8 years. Suddenly, it dawned on me, I have to be grateful to the bulk of American voters and the choices they make.
Previously, they elected George W Bush, a man believed by a large part of the world to be a few twigs short of a nest. He was often incoherent and fluffed his lines more times than it was funny. He appeared clueless most of the time and was ridiculed by many. George W almost ran the economy of United States aground and by the time he departed, people were ready for change.
Obama inherited this fractured economy and came in with sterling qualifications, Harvard , Senator and President. He was miles apart from his predecessor despite his well connected family. The world was mesmerised as an African American debunked all the myths that have been used as abuses against them. Intelligent, informed, sharp and witty and more importantly not trigger happy. I was proud to see a fellow African display what we have always possessed but often denied the opportunity to show. He tried to bring reforms in all aspect and was resisted vehemently by the congress. Despite all of these, he managed to balance the economy and brought it back from the brink. He oversaw a more humane America and earned enormous respect from around the world. Then bulk of the electorate got tires of this and resoundingly replaced him with Trump.
Trump going by the campaign he ran is going to be a totally different kind of President. Many people believe he will be a bully and try to return to the America that existed before Obama. He has started to show signs of this even before being sworn in and starred surround himself with some extremists.
I believe that if Trump turns out the way predicted, history will remember Obama fondly and possibly miss him. I will certainly remember him fondly and continue to thank God for him and many of the decisions he made. More importantly I will remember an African American who definitely made me proud and with the current choice, the world might come to be grateful too. Bush-Obama-Trump, thanks to the bulk of the American electorate. Thank you.

Hitler was probably right?

This headline may shock you but if you take time to read this to the end, you may understand the point I'm trying to make.
In my teenage years, I was deeply intrigued by two very significant topics, world wars and organised crime. So when I was not reading the Bible, I spent hours reading books on these subjects and it was not long till I came across the book by Adolf Hitler. 'Mein Kampf' which translates my struggle was a fascinating insight into the mind of this murderer. It catalogues his philosophy and most importantly how he saw Germany progressing after a few years of painful economic crisis.  The book was poorly written but still very clear on how he saw the world. To surmise for those that may never read it; he felt some people were superior to others and the superior were duty bound to take charge of the inferior, he also felt that immigration was a scourge on any nations economy and immigrants were to be dealt a bad hand, he stressed the fact that since his country was mostly landlocked, there was the need to colonise other countries and use them as platforms for economic activities.
Yes! Hitler was insane but many have argued the thin line between insanity and genius. Hitler was probably unashamedly bigoted and declared that publicly and like any form of hate ended it with murderous consequences.
Please fast forward to 2016, the only thing I see change is the method of carrying out what Hitler alluded to; America and the Allies, ironically the core of the nations that defeated  Hitler's Germany, have since the Second World War, systematically, assassinated leaders of other nations, plotted against formal governments and have carried out many unnecessary wars against other countries and killed far more people than Hitler ever did.
The real question is why? The answers I'm afraid comes from Hitler's book, these countries need to subjugate other countries in order to stroke their economies. So excuses are given for attacking these countries but how does that justify the action, maybe Hitler should have worked on better excuses?
Today the far right is on the rise in the West and all sort of reasons have been proffered but are they justified? Is it possible that Hitler was right in his presumptions about the world?
I have lived in the West for over 20 years and love what they are trying to accomplish in their countries but that does not mean I have to be blind to the atrocities of their governments. I have peace and prosperity living in England far more than I was able to achieve in the country of my birth. I feel safer here in England than in Nigeria but my mind is boggled when they allow Saddam Hussain to be hanged and Gaddafi to be shot like a dog or look the other way as genocide was committed in Rwanda or Tyrant ruling Congo because of the resources being pilfered from there.
Many are still reeling from the shock of the recently concluded elections in the state where an openly bigoted candidate was voted for by an overwhelming number of people. I can't help but think maybe Hitler was right. Humanity is just insane.

Castro's demise exposes the endemic hypocrisy in the West

The recent demise of Fidel Castro has revealed deep differences in opinion across the world. Cubans in Miami celebrated and some called him all sorts of names, while pockets including Canadian prime minister and Indian prime minister have made positive statements about him.
I want to start by saying I do not support the murderings, the imprisonrnents and the toture carried out on many individuals that are well documented. The Cuban regime was tainted by these. My main focus is yet another blatant hypocrisy on the part of most of the West Especially the governments that clearly support oppressive regimes across the Middle East and even sell them arms.
America murdered millions of Vietnamese in the 60s but we hardly talk about it, they murdered hundreds of thousands in the regime change in Iraq, hundreds of thousands more in regime change in Libya and now Syria and yet Tony Blair is paid humongous fees to talk to people but Fidel was tryrant?
George Bush pursued one of the most costly and pointless wars in the history of the world but his house faces a beach and may soon become a hero in a trumps presidency. The West, a handful of countries determine the destinies of the world and everyone Keeps quiet like nothing is going on?
3000 people died in 9/11 and yet millions were killed in return and the world applauds? Even when many of these were innocent?
Fidel outsted an American stooge and hence was faced by a barrage of attacks from America in order to depose him. In a regime like that, try practising democracy. He did what he had to in order to survive. There are documented 3000 attacks on his life including exploding cigars and a direct attack on the bay of pigs. Try being a civil leader under those conditions.
I remember Cuban doctors that came to the rescue in Africa while all these other developed countries ignored us. I remember the Athletes that came to train us and raised up the standards. I remember the Cuba army that defeated the South African apartheid army, I remember the Cuba that stood against a developed nation and did not bulk. A Cuba that survived a 50 year trade embargo by the US.
Every country must have the right to navigate their destiny without interference from outside and the west will not allow that.
I celebrate Fidel for giving us a legacy that it's possible to chat your own cause without being intimidated and who lived and died by what he believed. That is the Fidel I celebrate.
In order to end on a humorous level, America is criticising Cuba for being oppressive whilst they maintain a kangaroo detention camp on Guantanamo Bay. Wake up people, Trump is the president elect. Ha ha!

Growing old Gracefully

There is no blueprint to life and this makes it a blank canvas. I have been a student of life for a long time studying it as I lived it. Here are excerpts of my recent conversations with my son. If it helps you in any way, then I'm blessed.
If you are reading this and you are young, please be aware that you are never too young to pursue your dreams. Dare to dream big and take on things people say you can't do. That is the time to make mistakes or uncover a life changing experience. Try to make it early so that you can have s long time to play and enjoy it all.
If you come across someone you really love, please don't waste time, get together and start with the advantage of two lives living as one. I have to put a caveat since I'm a Christian, please don't do the shacking up thing, just take a chance on each other and make sure God is your foundation. Just get married and get that over and done with. Plan when you want to have kids and the sooner the better because then you can raise them when you are strong and still have some energy left to enjoy each other once they are gone away from home.
Open several accounts and cultivate a saving habit early. Invest and open  multiple streams of income. If you can sort the money issue early, it helps a great deal. Take on debt wisely, never for consumables but for long term investments.
Plan a career or a business but have an exit plan. Don't plan to work till 70 even if you are healthy. Plan to use your older years to pursue giving back instead of paying bills.
Make time for your loved ones and enrich each other. Do lots of things together and enjoy each other's company. You will need this in the later years
Have a bucket list and tick them off. It helps to keep life exciting. I'm 51 and almost to the end of my bucket list.
Stay away from negative people even if they are related, they will slow your progress down. Be nice to everyone but keep A very progressive core closer.
Stay humble and make sure your spirituality is intact. Pray and stick to the word. Keep the end in mind not in a mobid way but in perspective way. I love my life and I'm trying to grow old gracefully.

Judgement begins over America

I was shocked by the announcement of Trump as the next president of America. My dilemma began when one of the ministers I respected greatly made a declaration that Trump would win. Not too long after, many other evangelicals queue up to endorse him. I was baffled as were many others across the world.
In early October i  decided to seek Gods face about the matter. I received that I was too emotionally invested and so would not tell me the winner but gave me two big pointers which is why I'm writing this. I mentioned those two points on my blog on October 5. I received that if Hillary won , then Gods mercy will persist but if Trump wins then I should know that his judgement has begun.
So I declare it with all of the confidence I have as a prophet of the almighty that judgement has begun over America and the next few years will prove that. I don't know exactly how it will play out but just declaring what I heard from the Lord.
Prophecy is telling or showing the future and is not usually positive. Many have received that Trump would win and I respect them for getting that accurately. My question is why? Many have automatically concluded that because of his perceived victory that it means something good for America. Well we have a few more years to ascertain.
I write this on the day Trump  won the presidency that judgment has commenced over this great nation on the earth . My disappointment remains with the evangelicals and I'm not sure I would be a glowing member of this very parochial group ever again but my commitment stays true to God who called me and has brought me this far but I feel very sorry for America and days ahead and just wanted to have evidence in the future. I continue to pray for America like I pray for all the countries in the world. Come Lord Jesus come!

UK already left Europe

I have always been an admirer of democracy but not a fan. This is borne out of my insistence that people are different and one hat cannot fit all. My evidence is Africa where most of the governments are still struggling with their flirtation with democracy.
Recent developments in the U.K regarding Brexit is another sad reminder to the limitations of democracy. Government promised people the opportunity to express their opinion, people voted and now some elements backed by the will of those that lost are doing everything to torpedo the mandate of the people. Since I grew up in Africa, I'm farmiliar with this as I have witnessed it being attempted time after time in the country of my birth. (Nigeria)
What many don't realise is the fact that the UK already left Europe. The real question is how will they leave? When 17 million people expressed their desire to leave, there is nothing that will change their minds. Even if some of these elements succeed in blocking the actualisation, the desire will rear its head in another more potent way. This will be ugly. My evidence? Nigeria when Ghanaians ran to her for refuge from economic troubles. At some point, many Nigerians became uncomfortable and wanted them deported. The government ignored that until people started attacking Ghanaians physically on the street. I was nearly lynched because apparently I look Ghanaian. The moral of this, irrespective of what gets people angry, they will lash out when angry.
The UK is tittering in this direction. Many would love to see their borders better regulated and fewer people coming in to meddle with their welfare system. So far, they are being largely ignored. Big mistake!
No matter what happens , many have already left Europe and  this will have far reaching consequences in the days ahead.

The hypocrisy of Flag Nationalists

Very often when something bad happens in the world and people are posting the flags of those countries in solidarity with the victims , there are pockets of individuals who often post something like, why not stand with those in Africa? Or some other country they think deserve attention.
My take on this is as written about before, nobody cares about a group of people who don't care about themselves.
Secondly, if those people really care why not post those flags as  model examples of what they are trying to say? This act would have made it easy for many to follow suit.
Finally, when someone actually post these flags, many of these hypocrites end up not endorsing in any manner shape or form.
I find it difficult to say that because I come from one part of the world , I should not pray for those who come from another..
Racism will not be defeated by reverse racism. You either model what is right until you win or else risk perpetuating the status quo.
I was born and raised in Nigeria but made Britain my home. I care about both as I care about the rest of the world. One does not have to be to the exclusion of the other.

Hillary or Trump? Who cares?

This will be my last post about this issue that has dominated our space for a while. I will not bore you by rehashing all that has been widely publicised already.
One thing stands sure whatever happens in November, America will never be the same again. The rest of the world has stood on the sidelines watching her wage war in Afghanistan, Iraq and by proxy in Syria. All without a satisfying conclusion. They have watched as balance of power has been floating towards the East with many world leaders running of to China to pay homage to possibly the new Superpower? Many have watched as they tried everything to ridicule their first Black president and Much more shocking, they have watched as a Mediocre runs for the highest office in that land and thousands flocking to support and listen. One thing stands for sure, many will not respect America ever again.
It reminds me of all the Empires that have come and gone. This tells me maybe this Empire is about to go as well. It will still exist and maybe try to wield some influence in the world but never again on the scale we have been used to and not with the kind of cooperation she has come to expect.
So Hillary or Trump? I don't really care anymore because it's become clear to me that if Hillary wins, then they have a bit more time with God's mercy but if Trump wins, then I can categorically state that judgement would have commenced on that land. Pray for Gods will to be done. That is all many of us can do right now:

Go on Hillary!

If I was in a position to advise Hillary, I would suggest more revealing of an average Trump supporter. How can you describe a group of people who hold on to a candidate that has offended most people in America apart from his own race? ( A Racist), a candidate that has called for total ban of Muslims entering USA? ( Islamophobe), who has degraded women and insulted their body parts? (Chauvinist), who has made fun of a disabled journalist? (Mean), who continues to call other candidates names? (Bully)), who constantly refers to himself as rich? (Narcissist), who frequently comes up with untrue quotes? (Liar). Now please readers, what will you call a bunch of people that Trump referred to as not going anywhere even if he shoots a person at Madison Square ( .....). I don't so much care about who wins anymore but something definitely not right with whoever chooses to support a man like this.

Post Brexit Economic Woes? Political leaders to blame

I wrote a few days ago that the dilly dallying of the British government leaders about Brexit may hurt economic prospects. Now, the prime minister is alluding to tough times post Brexit. It's very simple people, when people elected to represent the people are busy slapping down the country, ifs only a matter of time others will take notice. Britain has not stopped producing, manufacturing or servicing, what has changed is the perception and this has been made very negative by David Cameron, Osbourne and more recently by a newly constituted government that is giving negative vibes to the investing community. If I wasn't British, I would have given up on the country too as people elected to run her don't seem to believe very much in her.

Why Obama won twice and Hillary may not

Obama has won the presidential race twice despite being a black man with a father from Kenya. One thing that helped him massively apart from his impeccable credentials is the fact that he is a man. Watching Hillary trudge through so many unnecessary investigations to pinning Benghazi on her and spending tax payers millions to investigate her Emails and to the recent announcement that FBI will be releasing her Emails close to elections, to Wikileak releasing her emails on the Internet, reveals to me that there are so many sinister forces at play against her but one common thing that unites them is the fact that she is a woman. Even my former brethren were not neutral in their endorsements. Trump should be the easiest candidate anyone could run against as he makes it easy for his opponent but to have emerged as the Republican candidate? Running against some credible individuals? Tells me that their something sinister at play here. I really hope Hillary wins but if she doesn't at least I will not be shocked.

Why delay on Brexit may hurt Britain

The Brexit dialogue was unfortunately hijacked by bigots like Nigel Farage. That does not mean there was no serious reason for why 17 million people voted for Brexit. Now the process has been hijacked by people who did not vote for it and may not understand the undercurrents. Britain is now dilly dallying over the matter largely delayed by a prime minister that did not vote for it. The longer the process is delayed, the more likely the market will lose confidence on the country's ability to stand firm after Europe. This will have adverse effects on the economy and as usual only the ordinary people will suffer the consequences.

Trump

I respect Trump for building himself a fortune. I knew he was racist when he spearheaded the attack on Obamas citizenship. He has run his campaign by saying outrageous and offensive things and ended up getting free press coverage for many months. He has played to pockets of sentiments and clinched the Republican Party ticket without a single clear path to what he's going to do. Trump is the evidence that the world is broken. A liar who entertains and has become a strong contender for the White House. The whole world is watching America allowing this clown to run for the highest office in the land. If Somehow he wins in November, then I know without a shadow of a doubt the reign of America as a superpower has come to an end and that the process of judgment may have begun. One thing stands clear for me, that he has stood to. this point shows me America is in serious trouble no matter who wins in November.

My take on the Burkini row

Im all for human rights and  a strong advocate as well. what many may not have realised about the Burkini row is that its not necessarily human right or women power. Its a continuation of the battles of two ideologies that is behind every war in the world. One that believes you have the right to choose for yourself and another that imposes choices on people. Whenever people see a Muslim woman all decked up in Hijab and all, they see repression and that is what this is about. My take on all of these?, since the west gives permission for freedom, they are going to have to live with many they have allowed into their system, all traditions included as long as it does not break any laws. That is the Achilles heels of democracy.

Syrian conflict explained in a few lines

1. America meddled in a domestic problem.
2. America started funding dissidents who bore arms against the government.
3. Syrian government responded with excessive force.
4. America involved the allies accusing the government of genocide.
5. America was trying to replicate what was done in Iraq and Libya.
6. They did not count on the governments support from Russia and Iran.
7. It became a lawless zone and some of the Rebels armed by America soon started ISIS.
8. ISIS raised money by selling oil cheaply to countries like Turkey.
9. Turkey looked the other way as long as ISIS was killing their enemies, the Kurds.
10. Russia and Iran stepped up their support for the government and so America was forced to step up support for the Kurds as many of they rebels they had supported were largely ineffective or had become ISIS.
11. More bloodbaths and the government started to make gains on the war front.
12. Embarrassed America and some allies forced to ask for peace.
13. Turkey seeing the gains the Kurds have made decided to enter into the mix in Syria by fighting their enemies and preventing them setting up a homeland in Northern Syria.
14. Turkey has been emboldened by recent fake coup that has given the premise to decimate opposition and has signed agreement with Russia and Israel so as to operate unopposed in Syria.
15. When you see those people bombed in Aleppo. Remember  that was the city where dissension was hatched. Thank you

Prince got me thinking about Mortality

The untimely demise of Prince got me thinking about mortality. Years of scientific breakthroughs has not put a dent on death. I remember one of my professors back in med school saying the body was designed to live forever but then it gets to a stage and starts to deteriorate rapidly until it dies. I have never seen God but I benefit from a close relationship everyday and if you are lucky you get to live 120 years but then what? The Bible says categorically that there is another chapter after here. My sincere hope is that Prince is with the King of all kings. Good morning!

SETTING AFRICA FREE

I have spent some considerable time thinking, observing and writing about the plight of the African (all people of brown skin in the world). I have been very concerned about their perception and mostly about their place in the world. Here are my suggestions:the time to build the continent is now, we have been known not to invest in our motherland as we should as a people,we need to start to patronise our own in every meaning of the word, we have the lowest level of retaining money in our communities, we need to start to build our image worldwide, we are currently perceived and  maligned as a loud race without much substance, we need to raise our next generation carefully, not feeding them the crap from others (cartoons, children programmes, history), we need to quietly build our fortunes across generations (businesses, real estate etc....) as money is needed to stay independent,we need to own more news networks, banks, investment houses as these are crucial to staying relevant, we need to wear or own designs and make them trendy as many of what we wear still reflects our shackles (I'm guilty with my Brionis...), we need to totally revamp  our education in order to serve our people and not keep up with others (scientists fighting malaria, historians exploring Africa, business concentrating on what we have), we need to start to celebrate ourselves more wherever we are and stop the 'yardie slave' mentality associated with people of our race (succeeding and snubbing others of their kind), we need to change our food menu to reflect where we come from as opposed to adapting to tastes that ensnare us (this is directly related to agriculture), we need to have some protectionism over the trades across Africa in order to salvage the continent (we have enough capacity to trade with ourselves). I apologise for cramping so much into a small space, I will be using various platforms to expatiate on these suggestions but wanted to start on this platform.

Thanks.
