If you are reading this and you are young, please be aware that you are never too young to pursue your dreams. Dare to dream big and take on things people say you can't do. That is the time to make mistakes or uncover a life changing experience. Try to make it early so that you can have s long time to play and enjoy it all.
If you come across someone you really love, please don't waste time, get together and start with the advantage of two lives living as one. I have to put a caveat since I'm a Christian, please don't do the shacking up thing, just take a chance on each other and make sure God is your foundation. Just get married and get that over and done with. Plan when you want to have kids and the sooner the better because then you can raise them when you are strong and still have some energy left to enjoy each other once they are gone away from home.
Open several accounts and cultivate a saving habit early. Invest and open multiple streams of income. If you can sort the money issue early, it helps a great deal. Take on debt wisely, never for consumables but for long term investments.
Plan a career or a business but have an exit plan. Don't plan to work till 70 even if you are healthy. Plan to use your older years to pursue giving back instead of paying bills.
Make time for your loved ones and enrich each other. Do lots of things together and enjoy each other's company. You will need this in the later years
Have a bucket list and tick them off. It helps to keep life exciting. I'm 51 and almost to the end of my bucket list.
Stay away from negative people even if they are related, they will slow your progress down. Be nice to everyone but keep A very progressive core closer.
Stay humble and make sure your spirituality is intact. Pray and stick to the word. Keep the end in mind not in a mobid way but in perspective way. I love my life and I'm trying to grow old gracefully.
