Hillary or Trump? Who cares?

This will be my last post about this issue that has dominated our space for a while. I will not bore you by rehashing all that has been widely publicised already.
One thing stands sure whatever happens in November, America will never be the same again. The rest of the world has stood on the sidelines watching her wage war in Afghanistan, Iraq and by proxy in Syria. All without a satisfying conclusion. They have watched as balance of power has been floating towards the East with many world leaders running of to China to pay homage to possibly the new Superpower? Many have watched as they tried everything to ridicule their first Black president and Much more shocking, they have watched as a Mediocre runs for the highest office in that land and thousands flocking to support and listen. One thing stands for sure, many will not respect America ever again.
It reminds me of all the Empires that have come and gone. This tells me maybe this Empire is about to go as well. It will still exist and maybe try to wield some influence in the world but never again on the scale we have been used to and not with the kind of cooperation she has come to expect.
So Hillary or Trump? I don't really care anymore because it's become clear to me that if Hillary wins, then they have a bit more time with God's mercy but if Trump wins, then I can categorically state that judgement would have commenced on that land. Pray for Gods will to be done. That is all many of us can do right now:

  1. I think in Western Democracies we now have a major problem and that problem is the media. For a while now they have abused the Freedom of the Press to push the agenda of their owners. Whenever somebody they perceive as a threat emerges they leap on them with innuendo, lies and open ridicule. as a result the people in society that would best serve their nations are no longer willing to put themselves forward for office. They know that not only will they be attacked but if those attacks don't work then the media will go after their families. As a result the quality of people that are willing to stand diminishes year by year. The hypocrisy of todays press is beyond belief they have created a demand for twenty four news in order to increase their advertising revenue but there never will be twenty four news on a regular basis so they go out of their way to create news. The sad thing is that eventually the public will not believe a thing they print or air and one of the basic requirements of a democratic society will haver been lost and their are immense dangers associated with that. But as you say this is just one of the sad cycles of demise of all empires created by men and I fear that we will never learn the lessons of history.
